Heart Disease Risk: The Cholesterol Shocker...Heart Mismanagement

Discover True Risk Factors in Heart Disease and Stop the # 1 Killer Fast & Very Cost Effectively

Theory, without scientific, proven studies, is mere speculation. Leading heart disease treatment protocol is seriously flawed. Money, selfish interests and misinformation is driving your coronary health into the grave.

The Health Alert reported in their newsletter of Oct. 2008 (edited by Dr. Bruce West  that a new generation of cardiologists are saying:average M.D.’s, including cardiologists, are 10 to 20 years behind the times in the greatest, most effective, and safest advances in heart disease care!”

Discover what mainstream medicine ignores and does not want you to know. A comprehensive ebook is now available that exhaustively reports scientific facts from over 17 reliable data sources. It replaces a broken, expensive, cardiac protocol with a simple, cost effective solution that you control. It is written in layman’s language, but science based.

What are some of the issues addressed?
  • Unhealthy drug therapy that is costly (your quality of life & budget can improve)
  • Ineffective, unnecessary and costly surgeries (you save money & time)
  • Dietary factors (discover the healthiest diet for longevity & quality of life)
  • Atherosclerosis (understand it and how to stop its destructive process)
  • Runaway health care costs (knowledge can save you thousands of dollars)
  • Drug company influences ( find out drugs are not the real answer for health)
  • Greed and clever marketing (Secrets revealed that prevent your being duped as a victim of the health industry)
  • All major risk factors (Knowledge is power for health and long life)
  • Proven supplements that are effective (Find out why some supplements and vitamins don’t work, & what ones do)
  • A summary for a proven, low cost, heart health plan (A quick, complete summary of what is needed for heart health & health in general)
  • Years of cardiac research from multiple sources is explained. (You can know more about current cardiac care than most doctors because it is outside of standard medical treatment.)

Let’s examine some of these issues and find what is best for you and denies the greedy sources your money.

Let’s start with cardiac surgery.

The New England Journal of Medicine, in 2007 reported that their investigation found an estimated 500,000 angioplasties done each year did not reduce deaths or prevent heart attacks, except in rare cases.
Julian Whitaker, M.D., in his December 2008 newsletter says this: “Scientific studies show that in the majority of cases, angioplasties and bypass surgeries provide little to no benefit. In fact, the death rate from bypass is actually higher than the death rate from heart disease.”

Prescription drugs are a double edged sword. They cut both ways. No doubt many lives are saved by judicious use of drugs. The other edge of the sword is that some people are made sicker and actually killed by prescription drugs. Is your overall health better, do you feel better when you take the prescription drugs?

The Journal of the American Medical Association published a report in 2004 which said that prescription drugs were the 4th leading cause of death in the United States. Some argue that the death rate is even worse because of under-reporting. What doctor wants to have the reputation of killing a patient with a drug that he prescribed? Heart failure, or kidney failure sounds better...even though it was drug induced.

How big a role do drug companies play in this equation of heart disease?
My personal opinion is that they are at the epi-center.
They fund most of the research and provide free education for physicians; they give perks and drug samples to physicians. They have huge marketing budgets. In many cases only 7% is spent on research while 25% is spent on marketing, especially on T.V.

Just how powerful is the influence of drug companies in the “standard treatment” for heart disease? It is enormous. The drug industry has more than 600 lobbyists that influence legislation. Ask anyone who is trying to sell an alternative but competing non-drug therapy. They will tell you how proven supplements get banned and discredited, even though they have proven effective in other countries of the world. Laws are passed that greatly favor drugs and encumber and hinder or even exclude other successful remedies.

The British Medical Journal reported on a study done by Stanford University and the University of California at San Francisco. It found in a report of 124 blood pressure studies done, only 55% showed favorable results for the blood pressure drug studied. Yet, 92% of the summary and concluding remarks for the study found the specific tested drug, “favorable”.

How important is diet to your heart health?
I would place diet near the top if not the top factor in heart disease. What is taken in as food or supplements, plus contaminants, can enormously make or break heart health and life expectancy.

Poor diet taxes the body making it work less efficiently and some substances pollute and interfere with good body chemistry. The body is amazingly resilient but it needs the raw materials and cannot be heavily taxed by an unhealthy or polluted diet.

What then are unhealthy or poor foods? Sometimes it is a matter of quantity, but all of the following can produce harm and increase your coronary heart disease:
  • Sugar
  • Alcohol
  • Trans fats
  • Preservatives
  • Impure water
  • Pesticides
A comprehensive book explains this, space does not allow full details of their action here.

Runaway Health Costs?
Does anyone not believe they are out of control?

Approximately 10 years ago, according to a report in The New England Journal of Medicine, published in January of 1999, health care costs in U.S.A. were in excess of 1 trillion dollars. Our health care costs exceeded 14% of our domestic budget. Today costs are over 2 trillion dollars.

Heart surgery costs are expensive and worst of all, often not even necessary. Here are some examples cited by Dr. Bruce West, who treats heart patients:
1. 100 million in angioplasties…typically at a cost of $39,200 per case
2. 500,000 bypass surgeries at an average cost of $83,900

As Julian Whitaker, M.D.(quoted earlier) says... “angioplasties and bypass surgeries provide little to no benefit”. (when measured against the risk) The revenues for drug companies are obscene. The cholesterol lowering statins alone are a 20 billion dollar revenue stream...that is 20 thousand million dollars. The drug companies now fund the majority of research on disease. They are in the business to make money, not provide health.

With the drug companies enormous influence on legislation and lawmaking, plus the over supply of attorneys, medical malpractice litigation produces a huge revenue stream for lawyers. This in turn costs you, the consumer.

Lawsuits are enormous and the malpractice insurance companies have to jack up the premiums to cover the cost of such claims. Doctors add unnecessary tests just to protect themselves from lawsuits.

When I was in the practice of dentistry I saw my malpractice premium quadruple in one year and in another year almost triple.

At that time, a friend of mine who was an orthopedic surgeon, had to pay over $100,000 per year just for the insurance premium. At that time neurosurgeons were paying three quarters of a million dollars per year just for malpractice insurance. You the consumer pays for increased costs. Why so much? The costs have escalated throughout the system.

In 2004 a friend of mine just had cardiac surgery, he was in intensive care several days. I asked him how much it cost. I thought perhaps up to $50,000. I was totally outside of the ballpark with my estimate. He said it cost $354,000. I was stunned. He added, but insurance paid most of it. No wonder premiums are so high!

What are true risk factors for heart disease?

The risk factors for heart disease are numerous but some are more significant than others.  Among the most significant are:

  • Inflammation in arteries (shown by the C-Reactive Protein test)

  • High blood pressure (hypertension)
  • Genetics (heredity)
  • Smoking
  • Obesity
  • High triglycerides
  • Diabetes 2
  • Excess homocysteine
  • Low testosterone hormone
  • Low estrogen hormone
  • Low growth hormone
  • Low thyroid hormone
  • Nutritional deficiencies
  • Stress
You will notice that conspicuously missing from the list is cholesterol. It is a secondary factor but not a primary cause of heart disease...in spite of widespread belief otherwise. Space does not allow the comprehensive explanation needed for most of these risk factors. A comprehensive, 50 page ebook is available that does.

You may be wondering just what does this book do for me? How does it help me? Benefits are greater for some more than others, but here is what you can expect in the way of information:
  • Longer life due to health changes (heart disease is the #1 killer)
  • Reduction of costly heart surgeries (many are unnecessary)
  • The best diet to follow to feel good, live longer and stop heart disease

  • What are foods and exposures to avoid
  • Understanding how hormones help your heart and well being
  • Elimination of budget breaking drug & health care costs
  • Higher quality of life with more energy and stamina

You, no doubt, are wondering about the cost. This comprehensive book cost less than a visit to a heart doctor.

By the way, I forgot to tell you that even if your immediate concern is not heart disease, you can greatly benefit with the heart protocol for health. Age usually brings on an erosion of health, but you can extend life and quality of life if you know the facts about whole health. The heart disease book does this. The bonuses are very valuable alone.
